Im pretty sure most of you on the east coast had your fair share of rain and wind. And then there are others complaining of how Irene was weak! Well be greatful she didnt hit your area so hard! In NJ -Irene hit hard especially were all my inlaws live. Im just glad they are all ok and werent in any major harm..

I hope you and all of your family were able to stay safe through the storm. I know that Irene was devastating in many areas on the east coast, especially in the northeast where these storms are so uncommon. I don't know who was saying that Irene was weak, but I can tell you personally as someone who sat through the night with no power as hurricane force winds ripped my town apart and my 9 year old son clung to me terrified that "weak" is not an appropriate description of what this storm was. I hope you and your family will be able to easily repair any damages to your homes. Keep safe!!
No matter how strong or weak the hurricane was, photos don't lie. This was tragic.
I pray that everyone is able to get back to life as they knew it quickly, and I pray peace for those who lost loved ones and property.
